As a People Risk and Operations Specialist, you'd be able to work on and solve many interesting challenges which we are facing, learn new ways of working, and help build delightful high quality products for our customers.

 

Job Description 

 

Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will manage the effectiveness of People Service delivery in the bank. You are an experienced People Risk and Operations practitioner and will be responsible for the execution of the People Operations plans to achieve a positive employee experience for the bank whilst ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal standards.

You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high degrees of ambiguity, get excited by solving complex problems and are ready to roll your sleeves up and get things done.

 

The Role Responsibility: 

 

Risk & Compliance Management

 

  • Support implementation of People Risk Management Framework in the bank.
  • Ensure Operational Risk and compliance requirements are met.
  • Facilitate audit/ compliance review for People Service Delivery and ensure remedial actions are implemented timely.
  • Responsible for regular People regulatory reporting is handled timely, accurately and completely.

 

Governance and Vendor Management

 

  • Adequate management and oversight of outsourced activities as applicable.
  • Manage vendors and vendor services within the vendor management framework.
  • Establish, document and track service level standards with offshore shared service teams and vendors.
  • Compliance with applicable laws and regulations, effective Service Level and risk Management.
  • Be responsible for failure to follow relevant rules and processes, failure to properly perform the responsibilities, and implement corrections
  • Cooperate with any investigations or reviews on regulatory failure such as accountability review

 

Service Delivery

 

  • Manage the People related reporting needs for People team and other key internal stakeholders.
  • Resolve issues pertaining to service lapses and failures in a timely and effective manner.
  • Ensure quality participation in the Service reviews by shared service provider and provide periodic feedback.
  • Ensure processes are delivered efficiently and effectively as well as governed appropriately.

 

Other Responsibilities

 

  • Effectively partner and collaborate with key internal stakeholders such as Finance, Legal, Compliance, CEO Office and with the People team across Talent Acquisition, People Business Partners etc to ensure efficient plan administration, cost reporting, and excellent customer service to employees
  • Builds trusting long term relationships with both the internal People team, SCB HR community and external vendors of service provision
  • Effectively ensure internal controls by keeping abreast with developments of applicable local laws and regulations on accountabilities

Our Ideal Candidate:

 

  • 8+ years of experience working in HR Operations for a large organisation or MNC, with a majority of this experience working for the financial services industry
  • Strong experience working and managing offshore shared service vendor including one that operates through a service request management process
  • Some demonstrated background or experience in process implementation or improvement
  • Analytical, good attention to detail and strong in Excel
  • Strong management skills with the ability to handle multiple key stakeholders in a matrixed organisation
  • Best practices and knowledge of Singapore HR practices and processes
  • Self-starter and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with high degrees of ambiguity
