Senior Front-end Engineer (Project Leader)
The Engineering Team aims to build a scalable platform with the most streamlined process for the trade journey for buyers and suppliers. This includes working on many different projects including e-commerce platform, SaaS, and serverless event driven architecture micro/nano- services. You will have broad impact working closely with a talented and diverse group of engineers, product managers and industry experts.
Our current tech stack: Node.js, Golang, Python, GraphQL, Postgres, Terraform, React.JS, Angular, Typescript, gRPC, and Affinidi SSI VC framework (blockchain).
Key Responsibilities
- As a Frontend Technical Lead, you will drive the technical direction of our frontend technology and component stack, optimising components for peak performance across all web-capable devices and browsers.
- You will lead and mentor your team to deliver features efficiently, while continuously improving processes and infrastructure. With your technical expertise, you will steer the development team's strategy and guide them to deliver the best solutions and identify / fix performance issues.
- Working with engineering management, you help set and maintain quality standards for the team.
- You will collaborate with senior management to ensure clients understand our technical solutions.
Who you are
- At least 10 years working experience with 3 years in a senior Front-end Engineering role, leading a project or a team of at least 3 engineers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate with individuals across the cross functional project teams. Work with close cross-functional alignment with designers, fellow engineers, and the product and business stakeholders.
- Deep expertise in React.js, GraphQL, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, SASS/LESS and familiarity across a wide variety of related front-end tech.
- Experienced in system design and optimisation, and defining core UI foundations that impact multiple projects / applications. Fluent in test automation and continuous integration. Experience with localisation / internationalisation in customer-facing web and mobile design.
- Comfortable with changing requirements and ability to pivot easily.
- Champion and deliver great user experience.
