We at Messaging team build a best-in-class messaging experience for Truecaller users and businesses that offers both chat (IM) and SMS experience, with a focus on trust and user privacy.
As a Product Director, you will be leading the Truecaller’s Messaging team. You will lead an engaged full stack team of seasoned professionals and own the process from start to finish. This role is reporting to the Chief Operating Officer and resides in Stockholm, Sweden.
The impact you will create:
- Owning the vision, strategy, roadmap and execution for the consumer-facing Messaging product
- Owning the responsibility for developing and operating the Business Messaging product in collaboration with the Enterprise team. The responsibility of delivering the product solution resides with the Messaging team, whilst the commercial and relationship management is with the Enterprise team. Both teams share a roadmap responsibility to ensure customer requirements are met.
- Leading and developing the Messaging team, owning the team budget, staff management, performance management and day-to-day operations
- Developing and owning the goals and targets of the team while ensuring they contribute to Truecaller’s overall success
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure Truecaller’s strategy is delivered across all areas of the business - collaboration across teams is vital for Truecaller
- Working closely with the Truecaller Enterprise team in terms of developing and operating the enterprise messaging solution
What you bring in:
- Deep knowledge of digital product development and preferably from a consumer product perspective
- Considerable experience from tech/engineering as this role requires good understanding of architecture, system design, performance optimization and technical solutions
- Solid experience from Android mobile development
- Being a well rounded team leader that can grow, motivate and direct the team to success
- Experience from owning budgets, setting team goals, building business cases and overall showing business proficiency
- Data driven decision making with experience from user testing and A/B-testing
- All though not a firm requirement, experience from Messaging and Communication products is a strong plus
- M.Sc. Engineer or similar with at least 5 years of experience
- Previous experience from leading product development teams
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English
