About the Logistics Operations Associate -Pennsylvania / New Jersey role

We’re looking for an excited Logistics Operations Associate -Pennsylvania / New Jersey to join the Distributed Operations team. This position will report to the Supply Chain Logistics Manager and will serve as a main point of contact for our third party logistics (3PL) providers across the U.S. as the coordinator of inbound and outbound logistics. You will also manage a small team of specialists that support 3PLs that manage recommerce operations on behalf of Trove, including triaging issues in our warehouse management and inventory management systems while monitoring performance metrics. 


In addition to standard logistics, Trove enables the secondary market of goods which requires inspection, identification and value added services such as cleaning, repair or photography. You will be responsible for monitoring these production activities by partnering with our 3PL providers and utilizing business intelligence tools (Looker) tools to ensure all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are being followed.  Trove has created industry leading technology to seamlessly process In-Store Trade Ins, Digital Trade Ins and Returns to either be resold or sent to the item’s next best use, you will become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of this product over time. We need this person to be regionally located near our 3PL facility in Fairless Hills, PA.  


What You'll Do:

  • Manage the inbound and outbound flow of merchandise as part of our brand partners’ recommerce programs including allocation of inventory
  • In collaboration with our Partnerships and Data teams, build predictable, scalable forecasting models for our partners’ recommerce programs
  • Drive the 3PL operations and supports teams to achieve targeted SLAs (Service Level Agreements) and KPIs (Key Performance Indicators), ensuring effective product flow through the warehouse to optimize fulfillment operations  
  • Utilize business intelligence tools (Looker) to enable data driven decision making while managing operations in a virtual setting
  • Manage 3rd party value-added service vendors
  • Conduct weekly distribution center visits, support new partnership initiatives, facilitate client and 3PL meetings
  • Implement DC operation strategies that promote standardization of and adherence to chain of custody of inventory
  • Identify opportunities to streamline 3PL processes, optimize product flow and provide recommendations for new product features
  • Manage a team of recommerce specialists that support 3PL partners for the day-to-day recommerce operations such as order fulfillment, return status and Photography


Experience You Bring 

  • 1-2 years of experience in e-commerce/retail distribution and fulfillment, either vertically integrated or 3PL, with a focus on direct-to-consumer
  • Ability to visit and work out of the Fairless Hills, PA 3PL location several times a week. 
  • Knowledge of production workflows including forecasting, labor management and process design
  • Understanding of warehouse management systems, managing system configurations and systems integration including troubleshooting errors
  • Experience leading a team to a shared goal
  • Strong interpersonal skills and are comfortable communicating with all levels within the organization, working both collaboratively with front-line process experts and sharing updates with senior management
  • Ability to drive cross-functional initiatives involving partners from across the business
  • Exceptional focus on delivering against deadlines and a high-quality of work

Bonus points if you have…

  • Strong understanding of Lean manufacturing methodologies
  • Well-versed in Looker, Google Sheets, Excel and various WMS systems
  • Experience in apparel/luxury supply chain
  • Experience in reverse logistics and high-volume returns processing

Trove is committed to creating an equitable and transparent workplace. The annual compensation range for this position is $79,286-$89,258 plus equity. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, location and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
