About the Senior Product Manager - Commerce and Storefront Technology Role

In this position, you will be responsible for driving the evolution of Trove's storefront technology and capabilities within the ecommerce domain. You will own Trove’s resale ecommerce product end-to-end, launching new, large-scale ecommerce offerings, owning the P&L for the ecommerce product/program, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to prioritize roadmap initiatives. Your strong written communication skills will be essential in translating complex ideas and projects into clear and concise visions for products you own. Additionally, your analytical ability will be utilized to build reporting and perform hands-on data analysis to inform decision-making and drive product strategy. This is a highly critical and strategic role, as we believe delivering scalable and customer-obsessed storefronts is critical to seizing the re-commerce market. We need a very strong senior product leader to realize this aspiration. To thrive in this role, you'll need to demonstrate grit and resilience, as you'll be tackling difficult and messy work without a predefined roadmap.

 

What You'll Do

  • Drive the long term vision and roadmap prioritization for commerce products, storefront technology, selling channels, and other customer-facing experiences. 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including partner management, operations, engineering, and UX, to define and execute a strategic vision.

  • Serve as a thought leader internally, leveraging your e-commerce expertise to lead the evolution of Trove's storefront technology and capabilities.

  • Act as the voice of the customer in product design, gathering direct feedback from customers and partners in the market. You will need to be obsessed with the customer’s needs and desires at every turn. 

  • Define go-to-market strategies for launching new, large-scale e-commerce offerings.

  • Take ownership of the P&L for the e-commerce product and program. Drive both top-line and bottom-line growth through technology and product enhancements.

  • Translate complex ideas and projects into clear and concise strategies. Driving alignment of those strategies internally and externally with both tactical stakeholders and C-suite level executives will be critical.

  • Build your own reporting and conduct hands-on data analysis to inform decision-making and drive product strategy.

  • Navigate through difficult and messy work without a predefined roadmap.

 

Experience You Bring

  • 6+ years of experience in product management, with a focus on e-commerce.

  • Proven track record of launching new, large-scale e-commerce offerings.

  • Experience owning the P&L for an e-commerce product/program.

  • Strong written communication skills, with the experience presenting large-scale strategies to internal and external executives.

  • Demonstrated analytical ability, including experience building reporting and conducting data analysis.

  • Grit and resilience, with a track record of overcoming a variety of challenges.

 

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience managing engineering SCRUM teams.

  • Technology startup experience or successful entrepreneurial side-project.

  • Familiarity with the circular economy.

  • Can write code in standard languages (Java, python, liquid, etc.)

  • Experience working with Shopify storefronts.

Trove is committed to creating an equitable and transparent workplace. The annual compensation range for this position is $125,513-$185,850 plus competitive bonus and equity. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, location and skills and may vary from the range listed above.
