SALES MANAGER, NYC

We are looking for a smart, energetic and hard-working sales professional to help grow the company's rapidly expanding advertising business. The successful candidate must be assertive, creative, and resourceful, and must enjoy working in a highly entrepreneurial environment. The position requires elite communication skills as well as a gift for developing and maintaining relationships, and in-depth knowledge of digital media. S/he will be responsible for hitting quarterly and annual sales targets. This position will be located in our NYC office. 

In addition, the ideal candidate will possess the following competencies:

  • 5+ years’ experience selling advertising with responsibility for an annual quota of at least $2 million
  • Exhibits integrity though fair and ethical behavior toward others and a demonstrated sense of responsibility and commitment
  • Sound business judgment as evidenced by past work successes and references
  • Strong analytical skills that can be deployed to grow our business 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills that enable clear and convincing argument
  • High-level presentation skills are a must (and we will ask you to demonstrate these for us)
  • Demonstrated ability to think creatively, sell strategically and take ownership of the sales process
  • Self-starting ability:  the successful candidate will be able to make things happen independently while tapping into an established eco-system
  • Track record of developing long-term relationships with (and commitments from) clients and agencies
  • Teamwork skills essential; sense of humor required; overdeveloped egos need not apply
  • Understanding of the importance of self-reflection as it relates to own strength and weaknesses/self-development/seeking of feedback
  • Recent and successful track record of sales to the travel industry is a plus, but not a mandatory
  • College degree required

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to perform customary physical duties and meet appropriate social expectations of a professional office environment.
