Job Description

The Business Development Manager (BDM) is based in Melbourne, reporting to the Manager and will be responsible for lead generation as well as initiatives that increase sales effectiveness and efficiency. We are looking for an individual that is passionate about the restaurant industry, highly organized, and thrives in a fast-paced work environment. This is an outbound sales position.

Our Sales team is based at our amazing headquarters in Redfern, and will work collaboratively with our Marketing team to sign new Restaurants to the TheFork Network. The BDM will work in Melbourne, remotely based in their market.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, engage, negotiate and close commercial partnerships that support the long term growth of the business
  • Research and generate new sales leads
  • Book and confirm quality appointments with prospect restaurants
  • Engage with restaurant owners in an effort to bring them on to TheFork
  • Understand your own focus market and goals
  • Develop and maintain client relationships
  • Full use of CRM (Salesforce)


Requirements

  • 3-5 years of experience in a field sales role or similar
  • Proven track record in over-performing on targets
  • Strong time management and able to manage multiple projects at a time
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • High sense of attention-to-detail
  • Target-driven and motivated with the ability to work autonomously
  • Own mode of transport and a valid Australian drivers licence
  • Salesforce experience preferred
  • Bi-lingual preferred
  • Hospitality experience also preferred
