What we do in Mid-Market Sales:

As a Business Development Sales Executive on the Mid-Market sales team, you will be selling Tripadvisor to our mid-market clients from pitch to close.  You will focus on breaking new business within the Fortune 200-1000 client list. This includes, but is not limited to, defining the individual account & category strategy; providing product mix and consumer offer recommendations; negotiating terms; and navigating cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful strategy execution. 

What you’ll do:

The ideal candidate requires exceptional account management, sales, negotiation, analytical and communication skills. Proven track record of channel sales success and a history of exceeding sales quotas over time. 

You are the right person for this role if you are proactive, motivated, organized, responsible and able to work well in a fast-paced, team-oriented and entrepreneurial environment. This role requires excellent sales and communications skills as well as effective relationship-building talents. Beyond that, we are seeking experience in territory management as well as a strong background in sales with a track record of exceeding targets, preferably in telesales, new customer acquisition and/or business development.

 

  • Reporting directly into the Director, Commercial Expansion + Strategy, you will be responsible for growing our mid-market client relationships, pipeline, and revenue.  

  • You will be responsible for prospecting, engaging in a consultative sales approach, demonstrating our business value and ultimately subscribing new customers to the proposed solution. 

  • The ideal candidate will have strong sales DNA, be results-driven, execution-focused and customer-oriented.

  • Manage designated pipeline and make outbound calls to our prospects

  • Demonstrate the product, negotiate and close new business

  • Consultatively position our varied solutions, value proposition and benefit for business success


 What we are looking for: 

  •  Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 2+ years of related experience 

  •  Inside Sales, new customer acquisition and/or business development experience

  •  Excellent written and oral communication, as well as exceptional presentation skills

  •  Demonstrated sales aptitude (negotiation & closing) with relentlessly high standards

  •  Not intimidated by technical interaction, co-browsing with customer on-line

  •  Target driven and proven self-starter with ability to deliver on initiatives without constant  supervision

  •  West coast territory and pipeline management experience using a CRM (Salesforce)

  •  Coachability, openness to feedback and dedication to consistent self-improvement

  • Ability to work cross functionally with creative, marketing, legal, etc.
