The Account Manager is on the Online Travel Agent (“OTA”) team, responsible for OTA advertising spend in Hotels and Packages (Hotel + Flight) in North and South America. The book of business will cover our Tier 2 accounts with a growth path onto our Tier 1 accounts.

This role combines Account Management and Sales functions, selling some new business via inbound leads while 75% of time is spent managing and upselling an existing book of business. The Account Manager is highly strategic, which requires a deep understanding of clients’ business objectives, strong knowledge of TripAdvisor’s product offerings and an analytical mindset. The Account Manager is also the operational point of contact for TripAdvisor’s key advertising business relationships, providing oversight to pre and post-sale activities.

What you'll do:

  • Own the OTA tier 2 book of business across North and South America, managing an annual 7 figure spend
  • Establish regular contact with customers to ensure their performance and operational needs are met
  • Up-sell and renew existing campaigns/clients, with new and innovative ideas that focus on retention and growing business 
  • Manage inbound leads/inquires through Salesforce to track activity and assist in timely and accurate forecasting
  • Understand the intricate details of Auction Dynamics to produce reporting and troubleshoot performance as needed
  • Manage client relationships and client satisfaction, including goals, deliverables, approvals, and asset management in order to achieve best results and campaign success
  • Communicate directly with agencies, clients, internal teams and outside vendors as necessary on custom program implementation
  • Represent the voice of our clients to help shape product enhancements through the Auction and Digital Advertising products
  • Participate in cross-functional task forces to drive new initiatives and tighten process
  • Meet and exceed quarter business objectives, including revenue targets.

What you'll bring to the team:

  • Fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese
  • 3+ years relevant professional experience, preferably in Advertising/Media sales, sales support or account management role
  • BS, preferred in Marketing or Business (or other related field), prior work with Latin America a plus but not required   
  • Experience at a leading media company, technology or social media platform is strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success working with cross-functional teams and building strong relationships internally and externally
  • Experience driving incremental revenue through existing and/or new customers
  • Strong attention to detail, good follow-up and able to generate creative solutions to meet client needs
  • Ability to multi-task across multiple projects and stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills and ability to persuade clients to grow investment
  • Passion and knowledge of the online advertising industry
  • Experience with Ad Technology / Ad Platforms: DFP, Facebook Ads Manager, Omniture, DAR, MOAT, IAS, DoubleVerify
  • Proficient in G Suite, PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, Salesforce.com
  • Some light travel & flexibility to do business across all North and South America time zones
