This position reports to Team Rubicon’s Deputy Director, International Field Leadership & Training and is remote based within the United States. Day-to-day, this role will perform project work to aid in the development of Team Rubicon’s roster of internationally deployable Greyshirts. This role will be periodically requested to deploy internationally, during which times it will report to Team Rubicon’s Manager, International Operations. This job requires flexibility to deploy internationally for several weeks if needed, often on short notice.
Duties:
When international disasters occur, rapidly respond, overseeing deployed Greyshirts in the field
Assist with the development of job aids, processes, and procedures for deployed leaders
Assist in the execution of the International Training and Selection Course
Development training and continuous learning programs
Recommend process improvements and consult TRI staff on best practices / lessons learned from operations
Travel 15-20% of the time, on top of deployments, to attend trainings and staff syncs
Experience and Background:
10+ years’ experience working in international humanitarian aid, emergency management, contingency operations, or related field
Demonstrated success with international small team field leadership in austere environments
Knowledge and experience in the international humanitarian space
Preferred: Previous experience with Team Rubicon
Preferred:Live in close proximity to a large international airport
Pay Rate:
$22/hr
$250 / day when deployed
