Responsibility

The Safety, Fleet, and Facilities Manager is responsible for overseeing safety protocols, fleet operations, and facilities management within the organization. This role involves ensuring that the fleet of vehicles is maintained and operating safely, as well as managing facilities to provide a safe and efficient working environment. The manager will develop safety programs, conduct training, implement policies to minimize risk, and ensure compliance with regulations across all areas.

The Environment

This is an office-based role at our Folsom, CA headquarters office.  You will work primarily in a climate controlled office with some minimal day travel required.  Company vehicle will be provided for all required travel.

Your Key Contributions

Fleet Management:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the fleet, including vehicle acquisition, maintenance, and disposal.
  • Monitor vehicle performance and implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure optimal operation.
  • Maintain accurate records of fleet operations, including mileage, fuel usage, and maintenance schedules.

Safety Management:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of vehicles and facilities.
  • Investigate accidents and incidents, prepare reports, and recommend corrective actions.

Facilities Management:

  • Oversee the maintenance, repair, and safety of all facilities, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for facility maintenance and emergency repairs.
  • Manage space allocation and utilization, optimizing the layout for operational efficiency.

Training and Development:

  • Design and deliver safety training programs for all employees, including drivers and support staff.
  • Ensure all personnel are aware of safety policies and procedures and are properly trained in emergency response.

Compliance and Reporting:

  • Ensure compliance with all transportation and safety regulations, including DOT, OSHA, and EPA guidelines.
  • Prepare and submit necessary documentation and reports to regulatory agencies as required.

Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other departments to promote a culture of safety, efficiency, and effective facilities management.
  • Communicate effectively with fleet drivers and staff regarding safety practices, training opportunities, and operational changes.

Budgeting and Cost Control:

  • Assist in the development and management of the fleet and facilities budget.
  • Identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements within fleet and facilities operations.

Traits for Success

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transportation, Safety Management, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in fleet management, safety, and facilities management.
  • Knowledge of vehicle maintenance, safety regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Proficient in fleet and/or facilities management software and MS Office Suite.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Safety Professional, Certified Facility Manager) are a plus.

Pay Transparency

This announcement is open to Manager job levels.  The base pay range for this position is $83,000-$95,000, with starting salary typically in the low to mid-range for the job level.  This is an overtime exempt position.  Compensation is based on market rate, job level, job related knowledge, skills, experience, education, and certifications.  This is a Full Time opportunity.
