Job Purpose

The Pricing Analyst works in the Pricing & Revenue Management Team in Amsterdam, responsible for optimizing the performance of Travix’s online brands for a part of the European region, as well as assisting in team projects. Your main responsibility is defining and executing sales strategies for your markets, taking into consideration local market circumstances, partner demands, legal environments, and channel-specific requirements. You will also be responsible for market analytics, forecasting and other ad hoc analysis as required. You monitor trends in demand and sales, you design and implement strategies to respond to these changes, you signal issues and opportunities to the team and other departments. As you become a specialist in a specific market you will be reporting and advising management and other departments on strategy and revenue optimization for that market.

The Challenge

  • You are the pricing market owner, handling pricing strategies and related inter-team tasks for markets assigned. 
  • You collect data from multiple sources and angles to support your market analysis and decisions.
  • You conduct quantitative and qualitative market research. 
  • You lead the initiative to continuously improve pricing and commercial results of your markets, both flights and ancillary. 
  • You work with cross-functional teams to deliver commercial goals. 
  • You maintain open communication and develop a good working relationship with other teams. 

What you bring to the table

  • 3-5 years of experience in a commercial analytics or relevant role(s). 
  • University Degree (Masters is an advantage) in Econometrics, Business Administration, Statistics, Engineering or comparable.
  • Good understanding of pricing, business operations, economics, and business intelligence.
  • Expertise in the use of analytics, statistics and visualization tools, such as Looker, Tableau.  
  • Skills with one or more programming languages (e.g. Python, R, SQL) is an advantage. A willingness to learn is essential.
  • Experience in an eCommerce-company and/or the Travel Industry is an advantage.
  • Excellent command of the English language, both verbally and written.
  • Good communication skills. 
  • Self-starter, flexible, team player and proactive.
