SCOPE OF WORK

Act as the center of brand and corporate communication excellence to investors and related stakeholders through design – accountable in the application of corporate brand identity coherence and design scalability. This role has a vast knowledge, understanding, and alignment on both brand design and corporate communication strategy - including the connection between brand architecture, brand positioning, corporate value proposition, personality & archetypes, brand fit, as well as competitive audit and design research - so they can translate them into tangible, contextual, and cohesive design outputs in every brand, marketing, and corporate communication touch points related to the investors in a systematic way. 

 

MAIN AREAS

  • Translate the corporate messaging and brand personality into tangible visual communication system in the form of corporate artifacts – ranging from investor website, annual report design, internal communication poster, external social media posting, pitch & presentation decks, corporate event banner, to any other requirements from the Investor Relations, Public Relations, Employer Branding/Pops, or Legal/Corporate Strategy teams.

  • Develop brand identity implementation guidelines and all deliverables related to it for corporate communication touchpoint, help to implement them in cohesion while also maintaining alignment with business context.

  • Be the counterpart of Brand Marketing team in developing Traveloka brand strategy, brand culture, brand personality, including the brand architecture.

  • Define & develop design language system and brand identity design standards in Traveloka; including but not limited to brand identity, design principles, visual design language (color, typography, iconography, illustration style, imagery, and photography), voice and tone, visual communication design system, motion design, and sound design.


 

CREATIVE DEVELOPMENT

  • Clarify the assigned design project scope, including its goals, requirements, and expectations.

  • Define and maintain corporate investor-relations website design quality standards, do reviews, and governance across the company as well as empower standard adoption processes with relevant stakeholders.

  • Work with cross-functional teams to develop or revamp the overall corporate communication artefacts and guidelines, facilitate the teams, and update context from both sides over time.

  • Execute sketches, prototypes, visualisations, and mock-ups design needed by the engineers for development in the form of user journey using methods and tools such as user flow / storyboard / illustration.

  • Produce design outputs, generate ideas, and facilitate consultation, context accuracy, and review for implementation of the corporate communication design, from overall design flow, visual user interface, to clear information hierarchy and clarity of messaging.

  • Collaborate with the Corporate Communications working group to keep Traveloka brand health stay in shape by maintaining, formulating, and further developing the quality of corporate visual communication design and its roll-out plan in order to enhance and empower the Brand Promise i.e. #empoweringdiscovery.

  • Execute primary and secondary visual interface design audit and/or research findings on competitors’ projects and market trends as part of report preparation to be circulated to relevant stakeholders.

  • Proactively gather, measure, and incorporate feedback from previous iterations of visual designs into subsequent mock-ups and future projects and design tasks, including about the corporate communication design system, both internally and externally, to be able to improve it.

  • Ensure the corporate communication design system is accessible, usable by all designers/content writers, engineers, as well as understandable by stakeholders (such as: Investor Relations, Public Relations, Employer Branding, or Legal/Corporate Strategy teams).

  • Work together with the Creative Director in defining brand communication identity while keeping it in business context.

  • Responsible for all deliverables related to corporate communication design in Traveloka and executed in a fast-paced and highly fluid environment with minimum supervision.

  • Help assess and make recommendations on existing brands in Traveloka to help simplify the portfolio for efficiency.

  • Collaborate and communicate with the ONE team at other Traveloka offices.

 

Requirements:

  • Between 3-5 years overall work experience as a hands-on Designer in the industry (education background could range from Visual Communication Design, Interaction Design, or Digital Product Design).

  • Design portfolio that embodies the modern, clean and insightful qualities of Traveloka design that showcases impeccable skills in visual communication and understanding user behavior. Preferably with skills of icon design, infographics and/or illustration with effective design sensibilities as they relate to applying a brand to digital experiences, or previous corporate communications projects.

  • Thorough capability in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign and/or Adobe Creative Suite, familiarity in Mac OS environment, with proven experience working with web and mobile based responsive technologies (e.g., HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Android Studio, XCode, etc.) and ability in using design and prototyping tools (such as Figma, Design System, and/or Miro).

  • A deep sense of accountability, adaptability, and embracing ambiguity working collaboratively with Engineers and Product Managers in a fast-paced environment.

  • Highly curious in trying new things, fun-loving and collaborative.

  • Able to multitask with eye for details, resourceful and independent under constraints of time.

  • Fluency in English communications (both verbal and written).

  • The ability to form consensus across a broad, fast-moving organization through excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including: negotiation, constructive feedback, presentation, managing expectations, and resolving conflicts).
