Scope of Work

Manage and lead a team of highly skilled multimedia designers, production assistants, promo display team with visual communication designers and copywriters and work closely with the Creative Design leads as well as with our Creative Directors to help build, support and cater to Business Unit’s increasingly business needs in terms of not just quality content, but also quantity (volume) production for video, digital, multimedia and photo production.

Main Area

Develops our Traveloka narrative through the production of engaging video and photographic content. Accountable for working with internal and external teams to ensure smooth production.

Creative Development

  • Oversee all aspects of Traveloka’s production policies, objectives, and initiatives
  • Manage and ensure proper utilization of Traveloka’s facilities and personnel for production
  • Mentor in-house production designers and ensure the team strives along with the fast-pace and ever-changing dynamics within the company
  • Strategize on the most efficient execution of production design in all stages (pre-production, production, postproduction) as well as strategies for scalability and sustainability of the production
  • Oversee each function and various talents in the production team, both in-house, contract, freelance, and other third parties
  • Build, acquire and manage the systems needed to run the production development and approval process
  • Enable Traveloka to collaborate with a wide range of partners across artistic and other disciplines
  • Create functional strategies and specific objectives for the sub-function and develop budgets/policies/procedures to support the functional infrastructure
  • Act as center of excellence for Production Design team in BUs in terms of standardized efficient process
  • Create standard for and strengthen vendor relationship covering acquirement and retainment, collaborating closely with procurement, and by providing context around quality expectations and continuous workflow and tooling improvement
  • Actively involved in hiring process and strategy
  • Work closely with finance, legal, procurement to ensure smooth production process budget justification is well-received
  • During production, Production Design Lead provides producers with direction that details all aspects of production
  • Ensures that production remains effective and efficient, comes up with backup strategies for unforeseen circumstances, and is accountable for production compliance with copyright laws and any governmental policies
  • Partner with Creative Design Lead in review of performance metrics to analyze winning trends, and determine a path
    for better creative and more efficient workflows
  • Gather and act upon weekly sync from producers who are accountable for each business unit’s production

Qualifications

  • Strong experience with video production, filming on location and working with internal and external partners to create engaging and collaborative stories through projects
  • Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably at an entertainment brand, advertising or creative content agency with an emphasis on integrated production including online and offline video, high impact display takeovers, rich media, D/OOH, and paid social campaigns
  • Minimum 2 years industry experience in a management or leadership role
  • Must perform with levelheadedness within strict deadlines and pressures
  • Deep knowledge of the managed sub-function and solid knowledge of the overall team’s function
  • Significant experience in a senior role in production management in any/either TV, media, digital, LiveStream
  • Experience implementing complex digital production processes across multiple projects with a background of working in media or alike
  • Strong supplier management experience including procurement
  • Familiarity with digital production budgeting and contracting
  • Has designed and delivered competitively efficient production processes
  • Excellent project management skills and knowledge of technical QA processes
  • Proven ability to monitor, report and take steps to mitigate project risks
  • Good written, verbal communication, presentation skills, negotiation skills, convincingness
  • Good time management skills with an ability to prioritize
  • Sound knowledge about copyright laws local and regional
  • Capability to work on own initiative, resourceful and able to troubleshoot
  • Advanced fluency in both English and Indonesian is essential
  • Capability to identify new, best-in-class creative and production partners, aligned with our ever changing marketing business needs
  • Capability to work closely with the other regional teams, supporting local implementation of other regional campaigns, leveraging regional materials to deploy local marketing experiences and creative extensions is desirable
