IMPORTANT POINTS ABOUT THIS FREELANCE TO STAFF ROLE

- Candidates must have integrated marketing agency experience.
- Commercial social/digital forward writing experience is important (commercial meaning, something aside from your private socials). We'll want to see this in your portfolio.
- Video game campaign copy experience would be great, but you should love video games - especially FPS games!
- Candidates must live within commutable distance of Hollywood, California as we occasionally meet as a team.

ABOUT THE JOB

We are seeking a freelance Social Copywriter with Gaming Marketing experience for our growing team.  This role is freelance to start, but we may be open to hiring the role staff in the future, if interested.

This role crafts copy and concepts big ideas for an integrated campaign pitch supporting one of the world's largest video game organizations.

The appropriate candidate will love gaming, the internet, and partnering with creative teams to make cool stuff.  We prefer someone with hands-on experience with gaming marketing, but if you're a social forward writer who has worked for a marketing agency (and loves playing FPS video games), this may fit you.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Concept and write for campaign-level branding and messaging for integrated gaming campaigns, emphasizing social and digital work.
• Collaborate closely with art directors, strategists, and project managers to build out and plan campaigns.
• Work fluidly across channels and platforms.
• Assist teams with storyboarding/shot lists/creative direction
• Implement feedback received from internal and client teams

ABOUT YOU

• Award-winning or award-worthy integrated portfolio that shows craft and attention to detail - must have social media copy experience
• A love for all things gaming. Specifically, first-person shooting games
• 6+ years copy experience helpful
• Proven experience developing campaign-level ideation
• Ability to shift the tone to serve multiple audiences on multiple AAA franchises in multiple genres
• Able to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines; organized, detail-oriented, and friendly
• Entertainment, agency, or game industry experience preferred

COMPENSATION:

Please note that the below range is payable via day rate (not hourly).  Also note that all freelance work is paid via W2 payroll at Trailer Park Group.

Daily rate pay range for this position is below. If your requirements fall outside of the below pay range, we still encourage you to apply.
