POSITION SUMMARY

Trailer Park Group (TPG) seeks a Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) to join its growing HR team. The HRBP is both a strategic and execution-based role responsible for working with TPG’s lines of businesses to support the agency's current and future growth priorities.  

The HRBP will need deep expertise in the following areas: employee integrations, vendor management, coaching senior leaders, talent management/succession planning, inclusion and diversity, career development tools, employee relations, organizational design, mentoring HR direct reports, and more.

PLEASE NOTE:  THIS IS A HYBRID ROLE, REQUIRING VISITS TO OUR HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA AND WOODLAND HILLS, CA OFFICES AS NEEDED.  CANDIDATES MUST LIVE IN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE TO THESE LOCATIONS.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Create operations-specific project plans and timelines and ensure proper execution across all work streams, emphasizing our video game marketing & game capture businesses
  • Identify the top talent within your business units, build the succession pipeline, build mitigation plans and strategies in case of talent gaps, organize engagement & developmental activities for your client group
  • Coach leaders to make decisions that have a broad impact related to labor costs, employee retention, engagement, and incentivizing the right performance/behaviors
  • Be a thought leader and provide coaching/mentoring to the employee base
  • Monitor employee turnover data and put measures in place to support the achievement of optimal levels of attrition
  • Assess employee engagement and morale and take action to address issues
  • Partner with executive business leaders to drive the achievement of their department priorities and goals
  • Lead annual employee programs such as but not limited to performance management, goal setting, career development planning, etc.
  • Provide guidance and input on business unit workforce planning
  • Act as the liaison between department leaders and other verticals on the HR team (i.e. Learning & Development, Talent Acquisition, Benefits and Wellness, etc.)
  • Partner closely with Talent Acquisition to ensure teams are staffed and designed appropriately to ensure business objectives can be met in the short and long term
  • Guides the business through small and large-scale change initiatives, developing and utilizing change management tools and approaches
  • Proven ability to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans.
  • Report on trends and metrics to develop solutions, programs, and policies
  • Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues, conducting effective, thorough, and objective investigations
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal counsel as needed/required
  • Provide day-to-day performance management guidance to department management (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)
  • Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase productivity and retention
  • Flexibility with working across time zones as required

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Video game marketing agency HR experience is important in this role
  • 5+ years of human resources experience - HR strategy or organizational development vs. pure operations background preferred
  • Experience leading teams in fast-growth environments
  • Experience partnering with a wide network of clients across Human Resources globally to deliver effective business solutions
  • Outstanding influencing skills across organizational levels, functions, cultures, and geographies
  • Strong communication and project management skills, ability to perform in an environment of ambiguity, influence decisions and implementation across TPG and acquisition entities, and positively represent TPG.
  • Ability to partner with, coach, and appropriately challenge senior business leaders
  • Proficiency at translating business priorities into human resources strategies that can be practically implemented to help the business achieve its priorities
  • Extensive technical expertise across multiple human resources disciplines (i.e., coaching, employee relations, talent development, succession planning, performance management, etc.)
  • Proven capability to leverage resources to design tools and processes required to deliver human resources strategies while maintaining accountability for execution
  • Strong operational excellence skills
  • Ability to deliver results in a highly dynamic and ambiguous environment
  • Ability to build relationships and influence in a manner that drives results at all levels of the organization
  • Experience in marketing or entertainment preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
