What You'll Do:
Traeger is seeking a Payroll Specialist to assist in all functions of the payroll department, including reviewing employee information and working hours, and maintaining accurate payroll records. The Payroll Specialist will investigate and resolve payroll issues and ensure strict compliance with Federal, State, Local and Company standards.
What You'll Help Us Win:
Collect timesheet data and payroll information
Process and validate data changes in HRIS
Manage garnishment payments and compliance
Support system access issues, password resets and general inquiries with payroll systems
Maintain close relationships with HR and assisting with payroll inquiries
Provide time and attendance support
Responsible for the preparation and processing of weekly payroll; review and ensure accuracy of approved electronic timesheets; track and deduct all payroll deductions
Assist Pellet Mills and managers with payroll issues, including resolving employee payroll concerns
Answer employee questions about salaries, payments and taxes
Processing multi-state payroll for 300+ employees
Complete special payroll assignments/projects as directed by Payroll Manager
All other duties as assigned
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
Able to work in person from our Traeger Headquarters in Salt Lake City, Utah.
High School diploma or equivalent required, Associate’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration preferred, FPC designation preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of payroll experience preferred
Knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll laws
Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and payroll practices
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, proficient in Excel, and detail oriented
Experience working with accounting and payroll software, specifically Ultimate Software
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and accuracy
