What You'll Do:

Traeger is seeking a Product Marketing Manager to join our team. The Product Marketing Manager is responsible for leading and executing marketing initiatives throughout the product lifecycle. This includes developing product positioning, product messaging, campaign activation and execution, and aligning cross-functional teams on plans and execution. This person needs to develop a strong understanding of the consumer, the marketplace, and our product, and have the ability to translate those insights into business strategies and tactics. This work involves a broad range of activities, from analyzing sales data to developing creative marketing campaigns.

As a brand champion with a great passion for the category, this role actively monitors the competition, retailers, and consumers, sharing insights with cross-functional teams.

Working with a broad range of departments and individuals, the position requires strong social skills and a collaborative personality. Strong project management skills and the ability to multitask are also imperative.

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive the creation and execution of Product Marketing plans.
  • Act as a change agent to foster a culture of continuous improvement and consumer curiosity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute marketing plans tied to the product.
  • Oversee the commercialization of innovation, including building launch plans and aligning with cross-functional business partners.

How You'll Help Us Win:

  • Develop product positioning and messaging that drives demand and differentiates Traeger’s products from the competition.
  • Consumer-facing messaging: develop a messaging toolkit (copy, imagery, etc.) that educates consumers on the features and benefits of Traeger’s products.
  • Ensure Traeger’s product marketing aligns with the brand guidelines and is consistent across all touchpoints.
  • Develop launch plans for new product introductions in partnership with the marketing and product teams.
  • Market intelligence: be the expert on the competition— their products, marketing initiatives, retailers, etc.
  • Consumer insights: align with the consumer insights team on trends, research, and insights.
  • Build and execute a 360-degree marketing strategy to drive revenue growth and brand awareness.
  • Create, manage, and continuously improve go-to-market plans (delivery of products to market).
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to develop product launches, product growth opportunities, and associated marketing support.
  • Sales support: effectively communicate the value propositions of the products to the sales team and develop a sales toolkit (e.g., presentations, sales sheets, videos, etc.).

What You'll Need to Bring:

  • 5+ years of marketing experience (preferably CPG and/or lifestyle brands)
  • Consumer and or product marketing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing or related field required; Master’s Degree preferred OR any combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved
  • Must be able to collaborate across multiple teams in multiple departments to deliver projects

Additional qualifications

  • Marketing concepts: knowledge of and ability to apply basic marketing concepts (e.g., brand positioning, brand architecture, SWOT analysis, competitive assessment, marketing objectives/strategies, consumer segmentation) used in the development of marketing plans
  • Marketing research application: ability to leverage research results into actionable marketing and business building initiatives
  • Product marketing: ability to effectively generate awareness, education, engagement, and advocacy for new products and services across range of b2b and b2c stakeholders
  • Ability to convert strategic planning into tactical execution
  • Results focused, with examples to prove it
  • Effectively communicate (verbally, visually) and inspire others
  • Strong empathy for the consumer
  • High level of emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt to different styles across the team
  • Excellent organizational and project-management skills; ability to guide projects from concept to deliverable
