What You’ll Do:

Traeger is seeking a Regional Field Sales Manager to join our team in one of our brand’s high-priority markets. As our Regional Field Sales Manager, you’ll lead the team responsible for driving revenue and delivering best in class service to top doors in one of Traeger’s most important markets. You will develop and operationalize a strategic plan to achieve KPIs, including revenue growth, market share expansion, and consumer acquisition. You’ll drive world-class account management initiatives with top accounts in your marketplace while ensuring your team delivers a premium & consistent consumer experience at retail (including merchandising best practices, elevated fixtures/environment, & staff training). You will capture & leverage marketplace insights & trends to shape future strategy while exploring new opportunities to expand Traeger’s reach. Most importantly, you will lead, coach, mentor, and develop your team to achieve brand and marketplace goals. Ideally you will be located in the great Chicago Area. The Lakes Territory is far reaching and covers much of the Mid West. 

How You'll Help Us Win:

  • Traeger Sales leadership (~50% of your time)
    • Develop and implement marketplace strategy to grow household penetration, drive mutually profitable revenue growth, and expand market share.
    • Plan, forecast, and land financial targets for your marketplace on an annual and quarterly basis in order to drive net revenue for Traeger and our accounts.
    • Deepen partnership and connectivity with top accounts, buying groups, and key BBQ Destination retailers. Conduct regular business reviews w/account leadership, ensure adequate support from your team in market, and share insights/feedback into HQ.
    • Partner with Retail Product Marketing (RPM) team to ensure successful implementation of seasonal programs, drive enhanced account marketing support, and leverage tool kits to build our in-store POP, Windows, Displays and Accessories.
    • Prepare and manage budgets, including travel, Co Op, fixtures, promo, and other related investments
    • Lean in with regular management of top local accounts as needed.
    • Partner with other strategic marketplace team managers to build and drive programs, share best practices, and optimize initiatives while ensuring consistency across the country.
    • Ensure your team delivers best in class service, obsesses over retailer training, consistently executes demos, and drives enhanced merchandising techniques.
    • Own the Captain Traeger & Certified Traeger Pro program in your marketplace.
    • Drive adoption & support of service dealer program to enhance the consumer experience in your marketplace.
  • Team leadership & training (~35%)
    • Build culture of excellence, driving feedback and regular checkpoints with your team individually and collectively. Consistently be present in market with your team.
    • Ensure your team is appropriately investing their time into activities with the highest ROI.
    • Foster enhanced communication and alignment across your strategic marketplace teammates.
    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities including hiring, training, performance assessments, coaching and mentoring.  
  • Marketplace Development & Admin (~15%)
    • Build deep expertise in regional market trends and consumer dynamics/preferences. Conduct regular consumer & competitor analysis. Share insights internally, and leverage to optimize the Traeger business across your marketplace.
    • Utilize Salesforce CRM to manage your team, accounts, and business.

What You'll Need to Succeed:

  • BA/BS preferred
  • 8+ years of national account sales management, or equivalent experience working directly with retailers
  • Strong leadership experience managing teams
  • Strong analytical, planning skills & negotiation skills
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Advanced Microsoft office skills (Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • Experience using Salesforce & ability to analyze data (data & analytics experience)
  • Ability to travel ~50% in your assigned marketplace
