JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Director of PMO is responsible for leading the Project Management Office (PMO) and ensuring the successful delivery of customer projects across a wide range of technologies and offerings, including Artificial Intelligence, Cybersecurity, Data Analytics, Infrastructure, Cloud, Networking, Datacenter, Collaboration & Contact Center, and Systems Integration projects. This role requires expert leadership in PMO management, deep expertise in professional services, project financial oversight, forecasting, and a focus on both customer centricity and business alignment. The Senior Director must ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with both customer expectations and business objectives, while consistently maintaining the highest standards of service quality and client satisfaction, critical to professional services practices.

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

 

  • Build a scalable PMO structure that can handle increased project volume and various project sizes and complexity as the organization grows.
  • Develop, implement and manage backlog decomposition, revenue forecasting, and acceleration processes to optimize resource allocation, and drive revenue growth.
  • Oversee the portfolio of customer projects, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and customer satisfaction.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of project managers, program managers, and other PMO professionals, fostering a high-performance culture focused on customer success.
  • Conduct regular customer project reviews and meetings to provide transparency into project progress, risks, and achievements.
  • Ensure customer projects are scoped, planned, and executed to meet contractual obligations, timelines, and financial targets.
  • Oversee the management of multiple, concurrent projects and programs, ensuring effective resource allocation across engagements.

  • Collaborate closely with sales, pre-sales engineering, and service delivery teams to ensure seamless handoffs from solution scoping to project execution.
  • Oversee project financials, ensuring accurate forecasting, budget tracking, and margin management across the project portfolio.
  • Work with finance teams to ensure that project billing, revenue recognition, and profitability are aligned with company targets.

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

 

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university or college
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is a huge plus
  • Proven experience in building and leading PMO
  • Expert in revenue forecasting, and revenue acceleration processes
  • Proven experience in ensuring resources are allocated effectively across engagements
  • Experience with Project management tools and automation such as Smartsheet
  • Proven experience in a professional services organization at a technology integrator or services provider
  • Expert in project management methodologies – Agile, waterfall, & scrum
  • Experience leading, managing and inspiring a team of Project Managers of all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of audiences in a diverse community
  • Ability to listen, build rapport, and credibility as a strategic partner both internally and externally
  • Highly skilled and experienced at negotiating conflict and problem-solving to achieve win-win outcomes
  • Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment
  • Excellent oral, written communication and presentation skills with an ability to work in customer-facing environments, as well as present issues to C-Level Executives and senior leadership
  • Travel as needed

 

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.

$160,000$185,000 USD
