About the Role:

The Senior Vice President (SVP) of Services is a critical leadership role that will be responsible for shaping and leading Trace3 to become a “Services First” company. The successful candidate will have full P&L responsibility for the Services business and drive the strategic roadmap which includes the overall strategy, Go To Market (GTM), project delivery, operations, people management and client experience.  The goal is to drive scale, profitability, quality, and business value realization for the company’s clients.

This position will report to the President of Trace3 and partner and collaborate with the Sales organization and the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to define and standardize the services offering set, build a sustainable growth engine, drive operational excellence, maintain the optimal talent base, and deliver services that provide differentiated value to our clients and profitable outcomes to Trace3.

This is a transformational leadership role. Key measures of success will be meeting and exceeding growth, profit, utilization, talent, and client success targets. The successful candidate will lead authentically, hire strong talent, inspire followership, and develop the trust of the entire organization to help achieve the company’s year-over-year Services goals.

What You’ll Do:

 

Leadership and Strategy:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the Services organization’s Sales, Delivery, Product Management, Operations, and cross functional resources, including mentoring, coaching, and talent development.
  • Refine, in line with the Trace3 services strategy, the core offerings for the Services organization, which includes consulting, integration, staff augmentation, and managed services.
  • Provide clear and regular communication to the Services, Sales, Engineering and Marketing teams relative to services strategy, performance, and achievements.
  • Lead the collaboration and connectivity between the Office of the CTO, Regional Sales teams, and Services organization.
  • Quickly establish trust and confidence across the organization, for services competency, client execution, services SLAs, accuracy, and overall partnership cross-functionally.
  • Lead workstreams around sales, delivery, PM, and operations for Services M&A integrations.

Sales and GTM:

  • Refine and execute the company’s Services GTM to be fully in-line with the Trace3 way, which includes optimizing account planning and targets, improving pipeline management, and updating incentives, enablement, and management. Must be able to translate into regional sales execution.
  • Establish a best-in-class forecast and pipeline management system and cadence, including pipeline reporting, hygiene, accountability, reviews, size & quality metrics.
  • Establish account planning process, templates, and review system for accountability.
  • Create sales training and enablement approach for sellers to focus on key offerings and service plays.

Project Delivery and Operational Excellence:

  • Drive and communicate operational excellence by matching the right people to projects, creating singular project sourcing, and scheduling process, implementing offering management metrics, and rolling out new quote-to-sale tools.
  • Bridge across Sales, Delivery and Business Unit teams to create a worldclass process for quality Level of Effort and SoW development to set the delivery team up for success inclusive of pricing governance.
  • Responsible for all key services delivery metrics across the business (e.g., booked vs. actual results, delivery forecast accuracy, CSAT, billable utilization of resources, etc.).
  • Responsible for the delivery resource billable utilization inclusive of resource management, career development, alignment of skillsets to offerings and quality of delivery – Right Resources, Right Engagements at the Right Profitability.

 Revenue Generation:

  • Responsible for Services Sales, Delivery and Operations P&L inclusive of year over year sales growth, efficiency gains and delivery bench management.
  • Responsible for influencing and owning quarterly services delivery financial results for the company (all regions).
  • Provide month, quarter, and year delivery forecast (resource utilization and profitability) guidance to President.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly health checks and business updates; communication to leadership on the progress of the plan and any recommended changes to achieve overall services financial goals.

Qualifications & Interests:

  • A minimum of 15 years of leadership experience in a related IT services environment. Considerable amount of operational expertise
  • Proven experience defining and building an IT services business that delivered demonstrable growth
  • Successful track record of building and retaining high performing teams that are deployed effectively across business offerings
  • Demonstrated success building rapport and credibility as a strategic partner vertically and horizontally across an organization
  • Strong relationship management skills; brings confidence in building relationships and negotiating with clients
  • Strong financial and business acumen with understanding of a multi-faceted business operation
  • Strategic thinker with commercial orientation. Has the ability to translate vision into actionable plans that drive results and achievement
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or relevant professional services management experience
  • Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus.
  • Ability to travel

Actual salary will be based on a variety of factors, including location, experience, skill set, performance, licensure and certification, and business needs. The range for this position in other geographic locations may differ. Certain positions may also be eligible for variable incentive compensation, such as bonuses or commissions, that is not included in the base salary.
