Senior Kotlin Mobile Developer
TouchBistro is looking for a Senior Software Developer (Kotlin). Our POS system is evolving and our customers are demanding more product capabilities and more flexibility with the current feature set.
As a member of the Technology team, you will have the chance to work on some of our current product's features to help deliver and iterate on solutions that meet these demands. You will be a part of a close-knit group of experienced developers with a birds-eye view of all software development activities at TouchBistro. Our mission is to make our developers productive and fearless, to reduce toil, and to remove obstacles from our product development teams, while building the best restaurant software available in the market. We act as a force multiplier for the teams writing software for our customers.
What You'll Do
- Architect, design, and develop high-quality Kotlin applications with a focus on Ktor for embedded server development.
- Enhance and optimize existing solutions for scalability and performance.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to solve complex technical challenges.
- Propose and implement solutions aligned with business goals.
- Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Share best practices and contribute to knowledge-sharing initiatives.
- Stay ahead of industry trends and introduce innovative technologies.
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high standards.
What You Bring
Must Haves:
- 4-5 years of hands-on Kotlin development experience.
- Expertise in client-server architectures and REST API integration in a SaaS environment.
- Experience with Ktor for backend development.
- Strong understanding of SQLite and database management.
- Deep knowledge of Kotlin coroutines and asynchronous programming.
- Experience with Android Services and system integrations.
- Proficiency in unit testing (JUnit, Mockito, etc.).
- Ability to work effectively in an Agile development environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Diploma or Bachelor's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
Nice to haves:
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team of developers
- Experience with Exposed
