We are seeking an experienced medicinal chemist to serve as chemistry lead on Totus oncology programs. Reporting to the Senior Director, Chemistry, you will bring expertise in driving medicinal chemistry toward IND enabling studies. You will be part of a dynamic organization and therefore you should be comfortable in a “building-mode” biotech setting where you will shape the company’s scientific strategy, culture, and mission. In this role you will: 

  • Lead medicinal chemistry strategy on a Totus oncology program
  • Manage external chemistry resources
  • Foster a highly collaborative interdisciplinary scientific environment
  • Contribute to the build out and growth of the Totus medicinal chemistry team
  • Develop internal talent through close mentorship, positive support while enabling and motivating talent to drive science and their professional growth


  • 5+ years of industry experience in medicinal chemistry
  • History of successful contributions to medicinal chemistry programs
  • Experience in the design and synthesis of covalent inhibitors is a plus
  • Experience in structure-based drug design is a plus
  • Ability to communicate effectively across scientific disciplines
  • Experience working with CROs in all aspects of medicinal chemistry
  • Strong record of effective mentorship and management of internal chemists
