About the Role
As a QA Lead you'll oversee the quality testing of our projects and the QA department. The ideal candidate is passionate about providing high-level direction, supporting a team of testers, and getting their hands dirty with day-to-day work. This individual must have a keen interest in participating in the game development process, and an understanding and appreciation for problem solving and creating a polished product. This person would play a significant role in getting a high-quality game to the player by working collaboratively with the whole team to ensure the game's quality.
Responsibilities

Help create and drive the QA vision of the company

Propose solutions to improve the testing of projects in the studio

Collaborate with all departments on the team to ensure their work can be tested efficiently

Own and drive the testing process and any tools involved (Jira, confluence, TestRail etc)

Help with recruitment, on-boarding, development and professional training of the quality assurance team

Maintain regular internal communications and encourage a positive and ambitious team atmosphere

Demonstrate good leadership, enthusiasm and sense of commitment

Build feature test plans in partnership with development and QA subject matter experts

Help oversee the development and execution of test cases

Manage the test team's day to day activities and quality of work
Requirements

At least 2 years of professional video game QA experience

A strong and efficient communicator with excellent management skills

Experience testing AAA titles on multiple platforms

High degree of self-motivation and initiative-taking

The ability to work on-site initially in Toronto is required.

Previous experience as a QA Lead on a shipped game

Experience with Unreal Engine 4 or other equivalent engines
