Meet the Team:

The team does scenario based testing for verification & validation in SiL simulation. We are looking for motivated individuals who seek continuous improvement. The team is highly collaborative and passionate about making autonomous trucking a reality.

What you’ll do:

You will be responsible for the development and steering of the state-of-the-art validation and simulation tool landscape that supports our release process of the autonomous driving software-stack.

  • Actively develop tools for cloud and automation platforms that target the evaluation and risk assessment of simulation results and safety-critical events
  • Define the workflow for realistic scenario and traffic modelling in collaboration with data analytics teams and virtual driver stack developer 
  • Collaborate with data analytics teams to ensure data quality for statistical evaluations
  • Strengthen our release argumentation based on an integrated verification and validation concept
  • Interact with German and international companies as well as organizations to foster strategic partnerships
  • Keep the target validation process based on SiL testing up-to-date according to the business strategy and IT trends in software and systems engineering

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Master of Science degree with more than 3 years’ working experience or PhD in computer science, natural sciences, engineering or related field
  • Proven experience in data-intensive and distributed software development projects, understanding of software engineering methods, experience with Python and Linux
  • Knowledge in object-oriented design, algorithms and data structures
  • Familiar with AWS cloud platforms and CI/CD workflows
  • Business fluent English language skills
  • Enthusiasm to take on new challenges and learn new skills
  • Willingness to work in an international team including ability to interact with remote locations over different time zones
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Bonus Points!

  • Experience developing software with C++
  • Experience in OpenScenario 2.0 or comparable scenario language
  • ROS (Robot Operating System)
  • Scrum or scaled agile development
  • Software- (SIL) and Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation and testing methodologies
  • Conversational German language skills
