What you’ll do:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to develop software that enable map-based autonomous driving. As part of the localization team, you will be able to design, implement, and improve algorithms used to localize a vehicle within the map in real time. You will also gain a deep understanding of not only the self-driving technology, but also its real-world challenges and how to convert such technology into real products.
Analyze & improve the current localization algorithms, ensuring our self-driving vehicles have the best localization accuracy to drive safely and smoothly on the road
Collaborate closely with a creative team of engineers and researchers
Gain a deep understanding of not only self-driving technology, but also its real-world challenges and how to convert such technology into real products
Improve how our vehicles act and react in complex and nuanced situations
What you’ll need to succeed:
Bachelor’s degree, or foreign degree equivalent, in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Robotics Engineer, or engineering equivalent with 4 years' experience with relevant industry experience
Strong foundation in software engineering best practices (i.e unit testing, refactoring and code/peer reviews)
Strong experience developing object-oriented software using modern C++ on Linux
Proficient understanding of probability, statistics, probabilistic modeling, and linear algebra
Experience writing components from scratch, software architecture and various design patterns
Bonus Points!
Master's degree with relevant industry experience
Industry Experience in Robotics/Autonomy
Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System)
