What you’ll do:
As a Compensation Advisor at Torc you will have the opportunity to develop, analyze, and maintain Torc’s domestic and international compensation programs. Responsibilities include designing, enhancing, implementing, and maintaining job classifications, market pricing, job descriptions, pay structures, incentive programs, and equity plans that reflect Torc’s compensation philosophy. Analyze compensation data and recommend pay ranges and salaries for new hires. Provide proposals for salary increases based on analysis of the labor market, budget, and internal equity. Ensure programs align with business objectives and comply with all applicable laws and regulations. Participate in market surveys. This individual should be recognized as subject-matter-expert and provide advisement and training to leadership and employees.
- Preparing global market compensation plans; ensure competitiveness and compliance with national and local regulations and requirements.
- Collaborating with Human Resources Business Partners to resolve compensation issues and to gain perspective on evolving business needs, goals, and client perspectives.
- Serving as an advocate of compensation philosophy and help educate business leaders on how to apply to their business areas.
- Providing interpretation of policies and procedures as they relate to classification and compensation and recommends solutions to problems or issues not covered by established practices.
- Assessing market survey company options, secures contracts, and partners with external consultants to ensure a best practices compensation strategy.
- Leveraging compensation analysis tools to proactively provide insights to help shape the compensation strategy.
- Designing, evaluating, benchmarking, recommending opportunities to Torc’s compensation system to remain industry competitive. Provide recruiting and retention strategies for optimal workforce.
- Managing annual and bi-annual compensation budget plan and process. Creates a compensation proposal and partners with Finance to request and secure the annual compensation budget to meet goals.
What you'll need to succeed:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in related field. Master’s preferred.
- Professional certification such as SPHR-SCP, SPHR, CCP required.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive work experience in Total Rewards/Compensation including design, development, implementation, measurement, and program communication.
- Experience in a compensation role in a technology, software/engineering company highly preferred.
- Experience researching, developing, and managing global compensation strategies, programs, and agreements. Demonstrated knowledge of all applicable laws associated with global sites and locations.
- Experience working with contemporary HR Technology platforms & HR systems integrations.
- Advanced skills in operating Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); knowledge of HRIS system (Workday preferred).
