What you’ll do:

The Test Engineering Manager leads a testing team responsible for testing and verification of automated trucks in real-world environments. This role is responsible for building and mentoring a team to oversee automated truck testing in the southwest United States.  

  • Support the growth and development paths for individuals within the Testing Team.
  • Guide the Testing team to set, track, and achieve goals aligned with companywide initiatives   
  • Define, document, and implement processes to facilitate efficient on-road testing  
  • Prioritize and schedule tests for the fleet  
  • Create and execute detailed test plans to measure system performance  
  • Prepare all resources necessary to conduct a test  
  • Maintain necessary test flow communications and process within the team  
  • Regular reporting of consolidated test results  
  • Directly support internal and external technology demonstrations   
  • Support data collection requests from development teams 

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Computer Science or similar and 8+ years of overall experience in software development or testing and verification of systems composed of both hardware and software components, preferably in the automotive industry 
  • 4+ years of experience as an Engineering Manager, with experience coaching and mentoring Engineers of all skill levels with the ability to guide individuals to function as a team
  • Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team and deliver on aggressive objectives  
  • Ability to coordinate, communicate and partner with cross functional teams, and be able to coordinate resources and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment  
  • Desire to drive technology development and improvements by designing test plans with actionable outputs  
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills

  • Masters Degree in Engineering and 7+ years of experience
