 What you’ll do:

You will support the testing of our autonomous trucks in a virtual testing environment. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the integration and application of a scenarios-based testing toolchain that supports the development of autonomous driving functions and is the central pillar of our verification and validation strategy.

  • Implementation and enhancement of scenario-based testing approaches in closed-loop simulation
  • Development of algorithms for automated evaluation and verification of system performance
  • Software integration into the simulation environment via pre-defined interfaces
  • Ensuring the quality of the simulation results
  • Close cooperation with test strategy and systems engineering teams to ensure integrated verification and validation concept
  • Cooperation with all members of autonomous development team to understand their simulation requirements and develop tools that meet those needs
  • Interact with German and international companies and organizations to foster strategic partnerships
  • Keep up to date with the latest technologies in the field of autonomous-driving and simulation

What you’ll need to succeed:

  • Master of Science degree with 3+ years of working experience or a PhD in computer science, natural sciences, engineering or related field
  • Advanced IT and programming skills in Python and/or C++ and Linux
  • Experience in traffic simulation, optimization, data analytics and software-in-the-loop (SIL) simulation
  • Business fluent German and English language skills
  • Enthusiasm to take on new challenges and learn new skills
  • Willingness to work in an international team including ability to interact with remote locations over different time zones
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Bonus Points!

  • Experience in the application of development standards such as ISO26262 and V-Model
  • Experience in cloud, CI/CD (Kubernetes, Docker, Ansible), software testing as well as Databases
  • ROS (Robot Operating System)
  • Scrum or scaled agile development
  • Hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) simulation and testing methodologies
