About the Role:


TORC is looking for an Enterprise Systems Administrator who can walk that fine line between the business world and the geek world. We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience working on enterprise ERP, CRM, and EPM solutions. The right person should be part DBA, part business partner, part systems administrator, and part politician. TORC is growing our team and our systems are growing with it, and we need you to help us stay on the road so our developers can keep our self-driving vehicles on the road! As a key member of our IT team, you should possess the patience to communicate with a variety of interdisciplinary users in an agile, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities: 

  • Responsible for advancing and maintaining the health of our enterprise systems, including software that supports our accounting, project management, software development, and human resource functions
  • Develop and maintain interfaces into relevant systems’ infrastructure and databases
  • Produce operational, procedural, and informational documentation for all relevant systems, and provide user support and training as necessary
  • Develop an understanding of application dependencies, workflows, and integrations between systems
  • Administration and maintenance of databases, reporting services, and data warehousing solutions
  • Ensure security through access controls, backups, firewalls, and monitoring
  • Monitor systems and respond to security or usability issues
  • Upgrade and test systems with new releases and models
  • Develop expertise to train staff on new or existing technologies 

Competencies: 

  • Proven experience maintaining enterprise business applications, security tools, and data management solutions across multiple platforms
  • Virtualization and deployment principles
  • Network and information security fundamentals
  • Strong communication skills and a positive attitude
  • Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude
  • High level of dedication and thoroughness
  • Experience with JIRA or similar EPM solution
  • Experience with SAP or similar ERP solution a plus
  • Linux server administration a plus

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field plus 4+ years of experience; OR high school diploma plus 6+ years of experience in a related field
  • Professional certifications such as MCDBA, MCTS, or Security+ are preferred
  • U.S. Citizenship is required
