The position
As a Business Development Representative, you will play a pivotal role in generating leads and establishing new partnership opportunities with local businesses across Belgium. This position, reporting directly to the Head of Partnerships, is a highly visible commercial role.
The Business Development Representative is instrumental in identifying and nurturing new partner relationships. Serving as the primary point of contact for potential partners, you will be responsible for identifying prospects and transforming them into valuable partners. Additionally, you will be tasked with fostering strong relationships, addressing partner needs, and ensuring ongoing communication.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head of Partnerships to understand acquisition strategies, monthly targets, and upcoming product upgrades
- Identify potential leads through various channels
- Initiate contact with prospects via phone calls, email, etc., delivering compelling presentations of TopCompare's unique products and services
- Visit qualified prospects, establish relationships, and present TopCompare products
- Conduct timely and persistent follow-ups with partners to maintain strong relationships, engagement, and capture feedback
- Maintain accurate records of lead interactions in the CRM system

Requirements and skill set:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree or similar education
- Proven 2 to 5 years of experience in business development, partnership management, or similar roles. Experience in the financial services sector is advantageous
- Exceptional communication skills in both French and Dutch, both verbally and written. Fluent in English (written and spoken)
- Results-oriented mindset, with a demonstrated ability to drive initiatives and achieve targets
- Strong negotiation skills, capable of persuading even in challenging situations
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with key partners
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and performing under pressure
- Experience with CRM software is a plus
- Curiosity about the financial services sector
- A driving license ensuring you can visit our partners
