We recently launched our AI-Driven software solution Too Good To Go Platform, used directly by Retailers to track and redistribute surplus food seamlessly. This end-to-end solution, uniquely connected to our consumer marketplace, consists of 4 modules, Expiry Date Management, AI-Powered Discounting, Donations and our most well known module, Marketplace. This business app is already used by tens of thousands of store employees every day, and soon to be hundreds of thousands by the end of the year across 3 continents.

We’re more than an app: we are a certified B Corporation with a mission to empower everyone to take action against food waste, so alongside our marketplace app, we create educational tools, explore new business solutions - such as Too Good To Go Platform -, and influence legislation to help reduce food waste.

We are growing fast, with a community of 108 million users in 19 countries. Together, we have saved more than 395 million meals from going to waste since we started - but there’s still a lot more we want to achieve.

Too Good To Go was named in FastCompany’s March 2022 list of the World's Most Innovative Companies, and was honoured to be included in TIME’s list of the 100 Most Influential Companies of 2022.

Your mission at Too Good to Go…

We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Sales Engineer to work alongside our Key Account Management Team to drive sales of our B2B SaaS product, Too Good to Go Platform, to food retailers. You will be part of a global Sales Engineering organisation, supporting multiple markets. Our SaaS product consists of 3 modules in addition to our Marketplace app, expiry date management, AI-Powered Discounting and a Donations solution that help retailers manage, sell and re-distribute their surplus food.

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you will collaborate closely with local key account management teams, offering technical expertise in customer meetings and addressing inquiries during the sales process. Your day-to-day activities will involve creating collateral (e.g. demos, workflows, technical diagrams) and working directly with large retailers, grocers, and individual franchises. Your main objective will be to partner with our Key Account Management teams to help these retailers understand how they can implement the Too Good to Go Platform to drive optimisation, automation and efficiency in their operations. You will also play a key role in driving our overall product roadmap, together with our product managers and developers, by providing product feedback from our customers to drive future product innovation and development.

In the role, you will…

  • Collaborate with Key Account Management teams to support sales efforts, participate in business planning meetings, and deliver compelling technical presentations to prospective customers.
  • Own the technical aspects of RFPs, RFIs, and solution architecture discussions, guiding prospects through the implementation possibilities of our platform.
  • Support the full sales cycle, from project qualification to implementation
  • Assist in setting up and configuring our solutions for customers, partnering with both local account teams and our Product team to deliver optimal outcomes.
  • Design and develop collateral, such as workflows, technical diagrams, and demo environments, to effectively communicate our solutions to diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate closely with Product and Tech teams to stay updated on product capabilities, configurations, and best practices, ensuring accurate guidance to customers and internal teams.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers, offering creative and tailored solutions to meet their unique operational challenges.
  • Provide feedback on customer requirements, competitive trends, and market demands to influence product roadmap discussions and future feature development.
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities within key accounts to drive additional value for our customers and the business.
  • Represent Too Good To Go at industry events and conferences, promoting our platform and building awareness within the food retail sector.

You meet the following requirements…

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer, Solution Consultant, or similar role, with a strong track record of selling and implementing technical products; experience in food retail and grocery is a plus.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to understand and explain complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a knack for translating technical capabilities into business benefits.
  • Solution-oriented mindset with a proven ability to creatively solve problems and meet customer needs.
  • Highly organised, self-driven, and motivated to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • A passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and building long-term relationships.
  • Familiarity with designing workflows, creating technical diagrams, or using tools for visualisation and presentation.
  • Fluency in Spanish is required, and proficiency in at least one additional language (Italian or Portuguese preferred) is a plus.
