Too Good To Go is looking for a new Sales Manager - OOH

We are Too Good To Go, a certified and proud B-corp with a clear mission: inspire and motivate everyone to take action against food waste 🌍. We were founded in Denmark in 2015 and are currently active in 18 countries. The Too Good To Go adventure started in the Netherlands in 2018 and we have since grown to a team of more than 70 Food Hero's. In 2023, we were even named the most inspiring organization in the Netherlands for the fifth time in a row! And worldwide, we have been included in TIME's list of the 100 most influential companies of 2022!

📲You probably know us from our app, where we offer leftover food and drinks from supermarkets, restaurants, suppliers, cafes, bakeries, hotels and speciality stores to users of our app. In the Netherlands, together with our 4 million app users and thousands of partners, we have already saved more than 25 million meals from the trash (and worldwide the counter already stands at more than 270 million saved meals) - this is equivalent to avoiding 685,000 tons saved CO2. Now that's making an impact! We are proud of that, but it is just the beginning.

To increase our impact in the Netherlands, we are looking for an ambitious Sales Manager who will take the Out of Home segment to the next level. Are you participating?

Your mission:

As a Sales Manager (we call that Key Account Lead) for the Out of Home segment, you manage a team of 3 Key Account Managers and 1 Key Account Store Operations Specialist. Your market knowledge, strong network and managerial experience will play a major role in the growth of Too Good To Go Netherlands. Your mission is to offer as much food waste as possible on the app together with the Out of Home team. You do this on the one hand by setting up new collaborations and on the other hand by saving even more food together with existing partners.

Your role:

As a Key Account Lead, it is up to you to create a high-performing team that focuses on spotting and winning opportunities to save food. You are ultimately responsible for the pipeline, forecast and overall results of the Out of Home team in the Netherlands. You help the team make the right choices through effective coaching and management. You also focus on the market to identify new potential key account partners and create a strong action plan with the team. You lead by example like no other, because you are also responsible for bringing in major partners and managing the relationship of a couple of major accounts. This way you know what is going on in the market and with the partners and you can play a major role in optimising processes. You like to think about commercial solutions and maintain a pleasant atmosphere in the team. In addition, you present and speak easily in large groups and you function as a proud ambassador of our mission to partners. As a Key Account lead you report directly to the Head of Key Accounts (MT) and contribute to the strategy of the Out of Home segment.

Who are you?

  • You are passionate about our mission and enjoy taking action in the field of sustainability;
  • You have at least 7 years of relevant work experience and have previously successfully managed (large) teams;
  • You have built a strong network within the Out of Home / Food Service segment. We will request references;
  • You have strong commercial skills in both relationship management and business development;
  • You are familiar with processing a lot of data and draw correct conclusions from it;
  • You are always busy optimising processes: how can your team work even more efficiently?
  • You are able to make a good forecast and work based on targets;
  • You can think well commercially and strategically, of which you can share the necessary examples;
  • You are performance-oriented and know how to give freedom and responsibility to your team in the right way in order to achieve positive results and you set ambitious goals for yourself and the team. You bring focus and energy;
  • You know when to listen and/or speak and how to grab and hold the attention of a group of people;
  • You are strong in team leadership and have experience with people management;
  • You motivate others and ensure that individual and team goals are achieved to increase our impact.

Our Values:

  • We fight together: food waste is a big beast to fight. We can do it if we fight together as Waste Warriors with no ego. We believe in a #oneteam.
  • We raise the bar: we always push for more. We work smart, smash barriers and elevate one another.
  • We keep it simple: our ambitions are bold but our solutions are simple.
  • We build a legacy: we’re proud of the change we’re driving.
  • We care: we always look out for each other. Caring is also about the way we do business. We do the right thing.

What we offer:

  • The ultimate opportunity to work for a certified B Corp where you can use your commercial skills for positive impact (let's save the world!);
  • Good guidance, on the job learning and training;
  • A strong, open culture where successes are celebrated together and where you can learn a lot from other colleagues in the commercial Key Account team in the Netherlands and Belgium and from the 16 other countries where we are active;
  • A great office on the IJ next to Amsterdam Central Station with not one, not two but four super nice roof terraces, a great lunch and nice drinks and outings,
  • Participation in our Shareback program, in which you can do volunteer work within the theme of food security;
  • Free participation in boot camps and padel;
  • You will receive a laptop and you will receive compensation for your telephone bill;
  • A contract for 40 hours per week with a competitive salary including a facilitating pension scheme and a parental leave scheme.
