About the team

Tomorrow Health’s Business Development team is responsible for the full lifecycle of payor and strategic partnerships, from initial conversations to contract execution and ongoing relationship management. The Business Development team partners closely with Tomorrow Health’s product, engineering, and account management teams to close new partnerships and drive positive outcomes for our partners and patients. The Business Development Associate will be focused on developing and managing partnerships with payors, risk-bearing providers and strategic partners to help scale Tomorrow Health’s partnership footprint and ability to drive value for all stakeholders.

About the role

We are currently looking for a Business Development Associate who is a relationship-builder, strategic thinker, and initiator and will identify, manage and advance new partnership opportunities on behalf of Tomorrow Health. This role will support and lead a variety of prospect-facing and internal business development activities in effort to close new payor contracts and will report to the Director of Business Development. Some examples of work you will take on over the next 6-12 months:

  • You will engage Tomorrow Health advisors, investors and channel partners to identify new business opportunities.
  • You will collaborate to develop unique strategic approaches for new payor and strategic partner opportunities based on their unique characteristics (e.g. geographic reach, plan type, etc.)
  • You will incorporate key themes and strategies into prospect-specific business development-related material, including presentations, proposals, and contracts.
  • You will support, participate in, and lead meetings with strategic prospects.
  • You will conduct market research to identify channel partnership opportunities and help internal teams monitor the competitive landscape. 
  • In partnership with Tomorrow Health’s Technology and Analytics teams, you’ll help develop a range of claims-based analyses for qualified prospects to convey value and implementation opportunities.
  • You will collaborate with Operations, Account Management and other Business Development team members to ensure efficient and timely launch of partnership implementations.
  • You will identify and execute on opportunities to expedite long, consultative sales cycles.
  • You will collaborate with Marketing and other Business Development team members to organize and maintain Tomorrow Health’s CRM, enabling comprehensive prospect reporting and marketing campaigns.

About You

  • You are a strategic thinker, able to recognize unique value-drivers for a wide range of healthcare organizations with varying characteristics and priorities.
  • You’re familiar with healthcare industry dynamics and what matters to key stakeholders like patients, payors, providers, etc.
  • You have experience managing and expediting long, consultative sales cycles.
  • You're excited about working at an early stage company.
  • You are an excellent communicator who is able to convey value-drivers and key takeaways clearly and concisely.
  • You're highly organized and able to manage multiple prospect opportunities at once, while maintaining attention to detail.
  • You have tactful problem resolution skills and the ability to analyze cause / effect.
  • You have a strong handle of Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • You believe deeply in the idea that the future of healthcare can be significantly better and is driven by the opportunity we have in front of us to make it a reality.
  • You have a track record of continual learning and improvement throughout their career.
