We are looking for a talented Apparel Designer specializing in streetwear and menswear to join our dynamic team in Berlin. As an Apparel Designer you have a strong creative vision, extensive experience in all stages of the design process from concept to production, and a deep understanding of streetwear culture and trends.
YOUR MISSION:
- Collaborate with the Design Director and cross-functional teams to develop and execute compelling apparel collections that resonate with Highsnobiety's audience
- Challenge the team try new styles, trends or product types
- Work across our collaborations and in-line collections
- Translate creative concepts into innovative and bold, fresh designs, considering market trends, brand identity, and target demographics
- Conduct thorough research on emerging trends, streetwear culture, and menswear fashion to inform design direction and product development
- Create sketches, technical drawings, and prototypes to communicate design concepts and specifications to suppliers and manufacturers
- Source materials, trims, and embellishments that align with design aesthetics, quality standards, and budget requirements
- Oversee the sampling and fitting process, providing feedback and revisions to ensure product integrity and fit consistency
- Collaborate with production teams to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and maintain timelines throughout the manufacturing process
- Stay informed about advancements in apparel technology, sustainable practices, and industry best practices to drive innovation and continuous improvement
YOUR SKILLS:
- 3-5 years of experience in apparel design, with a focus on streetwear and menswear
- Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or related field is a plus
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant design software
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern-making, and technical specifications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Passion for streetwear culture, fashion, and contemporary design
Additional Information:
- This is a full-time position based in Berlin, Germany.
- The successful candidate will report directly to the Design Director.
