We are looking for a pragmatic and team-minded technology leader for our "Empower & Automate" team who is keen to work hands-on along with the team to solve problems in our e-commerce back office and business intelligence tech.
YOUR MISSION:
- Lead a team of data engineers, a NetSuite administrator and supporting agencies
- Use automation, (low) code and AI hands-on to improve employee and customer experience
- Make it easier for stakeholders to get business insights on their own (ETL/data visualization)
- Improve back office integration of our warehouse / logistics (3PL)
- Collaborate with Principal Engineer to shape overall technical architecture
- Ensure reliability of business critical processes in back office
YOUR SKILLS
- At least 6 years professional experience in technology
- 2-3 years experience working hands-on as an engineer, with good skills in Javascript/Node.js, SQL and comfortable working with APIs
- At least 2 years of experience leading technical projects
- At least 1 year of experience leading others
- At least 3 years of experience working with back office and/or e-commerce processes
- Attention to detail where it matters, while generally having a pragmatic attitude, avoiding unnecessary overhead and keeping things simple with focus on highest business impact/risk
- Great project management and communication skills
- Experience with the following is a *big* plus: NetSuite, Looker (or similar BI tools)
- Experience with the following is a plus: Sitoo (POS), CommerceTools (Shop System), Looker, other ERPs like SAP or Dynamics, AirTable, low code automation platforms (e.g. N8N, Tray, Zapier), Intercom, OpenAI APIs, ETL pipelines (in particular Airflow, DBT, BigQuery)
- Good understanding of accounting/ERP terminology and accounting requirements (e.g. inventory related, purchase orders)
- Basic understanding of applied AI
