We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our team in Berlin. As part of the team, you will be working alongside a group of like-minded individuals who share ownership of the codebase, problem-solving, and knowledge.
YOUR MISSION:
- Lead several engineers in Convert & Delight and Creative Storytelling agency team (Digital Studio)
- Build e-commerce-related features hands-on as part of the Convert & Delight team with a Product Engineering mindset
- Work closely with VP Product & Engineering, Product Manager, and other engineering leaders
- Facilitate collaboration, communication, and decision making inside the team and across product teams – support your team where needed with prioritization, conflict resolution, and expectation management
YOUR SKILLS:
- 7 years of experience in software engineering, out of which at least 5 years of experience with modern front-end technologies
- 2 years of experience leading other engineers
- Excellent skills in React SSR/CSR, Node.js and GraphQL
- Experienced in designing scalable backend and front-end architectures
- Knowledge of microservice patterns, security best practices, engineering methodologies (e.g. Agile, TDD, XP)
- Interest in app development and be open to learn or have existing experience with React Native
- Bonus: Experience in TypeScript, React Native (strong plus), GCP, Terraform, Apollo Client/Server, Commercetools, Cypress, Cloudflare Workers, Firebase
- Fluent in English
