Reporting to the Head of Software Engineering, you will be responsible for defining, developing, and delivering highly scalable data systems to be leveraged across our product portfolio. This position has the option of working primarily remotely or from our very impressive, water-front Salem, MA location.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Deliver high performance API’s written in python and deployed to AWS
  • Design flexible data models capable of being integrated into multiple products
  • Deliver SDKs to application developers
  • Suggest and implement best practices around machine to machine and end user security
  • Maintain a healthy well tested codebase and mentor others to follow the patterns you establish
  • Maintain development environments and continuous integration workflows via GitHub actions and codespaces
  • Produce re-usable libraries and tools as needed and drive adoption

 

Qualifications:

  • Multiple years of experience delivering restful APIs in a mission critical setting
  • Proficient with python software engineering best practices along with at least one additional language
  • Expert level knowledge of AWS managed services with particular emphasis on Lambda and DynamoDB
  • Knowledge of event-based systems and how to monitor them effectively
  • Experience developing software delivery pipelines and infrastructure as code for production systems
