The Food Director, Health, will work across print and digital platforms to deliver engaging, beautiful, healthy, on-brand ideas to reach new audiences, increase engagement and drive revenue through product extensions. This role is perfect for a vision-driven leader prepared to lead all food content initiatives for a national lifestyle brand dedicated to helping women lead healthy lives.
Create monthly print lineups
Pitch and write daily digital stories
Conceive large cross-platform packages for editorial and native advertising
Oversee all recipe development and story creation at Time Inc. Food Studios in Birmingham, AL, where the majority of our recipes are developed
Liaise with the Food Studios to provide overall recipe story direction and feedback
Work closely with art and photo editors on concepts for both print and digital photo shoots, attending all photo and video shoots in NYC as needed
Top edit all print and digital recipes and food content
Take part in 2-3 food demos on Facebook Live each month
Take part in taped video segments as needed
Contribute to Health’s social media accounts
Oversee monthly food brainstorm meetings for new ideas and SEO generation
Represent Health in media appearances and at food conferences
Manage freelance food writers
Proven: You have experience in a fast-paced, multiplatform editorial environment. You know how to motivate creative teams to produce work swiftly across platforms and within budget– without compromising quality. You know your way around a recipe, how to video and beyond.
