Located in Birmingham, Alabama, is the Time Inc. Food Studios, a state-of-the-art facility featuring 28 test kitchens, 13 photo studios, a prop and styling studio, an outdoor grill/BBQ station and an expansive showcase kitchen and tasting room for demonstrations and events. Powered by a talented team of test kitchen professionals, stylists, and photographers, the Time Inc. Food Studios is the country’s premier creative hub, producing thousands of world class recipes, images and related content annually for Time Inc.’s print, cookbook, digital and social platforms.
The Food Styling Assistant will report to the Photo Director and will assist the food stylists with grocery shopping, recipe prep, and organization of kitchen and work spaces.
Work with the Test Kitchen Coordinator to shop and stock the shared pantries and cold-storage areas in the kitchen
Ensure that workstations are equipped with ingredients in advance of recipe preparation
Follow your food stylist’s lead to prepare recipes for photography
File all expense reports for accounting purposes
Assist with setup and coordination of events held in the Time Inc. Food Studios for internal and externals guests
Experienced: You have a B.S. or B.A., a culinary degree or professional kitchen experience.
