Position Summary

The right candidate will be a ‘self starter’ and demonstrate an appropriate blend of good technical, organizational and interpersonal skills. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal are essential, as is the ability to simultaneously handle multiple projects in a dynamic and fast paced environment. Ideally the candidate should have previous experience working as an offshore provider for the operational arm of a large Fortune 500 company's network.

Experience Required

  • 3-6 years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years of related work experience in Network and Security and Riverbed WAN optimizer. 
  • Prior experience on switching, routing, Cisco Firewalls, Juniper MAG firewalls, Riverbed WAN optimizer (Required), F5 load balancer (not necessary) and Aruba controllers (not necessary)
  • Technical understanding and practical application of network support: WAN & LAN, Routing and switching protocols, SIP, TCP/IP, OSPF, VPN IPSEC and SSL Firewalls and load balancers; security policy management Experience in ticketing tool like Service Now.
  • Experience using ticketing systems and managing incident queues. Proven problem solving and troubleshooting skills. 
  • Strong ability to solve problems and troubleshoot incidents Work directly with internal customers and senior support staff to troubleshoot and resolve events and incidents.
  • Detail oriented with good writing, verbal and documentation skills. 
  • Excellent follow up and time management skills. 
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure. 
  • Ability to review, understand and adhere to documented procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Candidate will be an offshore resource whose primary responsibility will be to:

  • Provide support for network security incidents/requests that require investigation, coordination, and escalation. 
  • Track and close request in a ticketing system with in the SLA. 
  • You will be responsible for the front-line support of IT network and Security services across Time Inc. worldwide. 
  • Coordinating with ISP/Telco providers for WAN related issues. 
  • Utilization of network management tools to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve network and communication events and incidents (including performance) across the corporate network. 
  • Fix vulnerabilities found against network devices on monthly security scans and PCI scan Firewall rule optimization based on the Algosec reports. 
  • Firewall rule changes requests, Juniper role creations, F5 VIP creations. IPSEC tunnel creations.

Qualifications & Experience

  • B.E/B.Tech in Electronics/Computer Science
  • 3-6 years of overall IT experience with at least 3+ years of related work experience in Network and Security and Riverbed WAN optimizer. 
  • Prior experience on switching, routing, Cisco Firewalls, Juniper MAG firewalls, Riverbed WAN optimizer (Required), F5 load balancer (not necessary) and Aruba controllers (not necessary)
  • CCNA, CCNP, will be an added advantage.
