As Senior Manager, SEC Reporting, you will be responsible for the preparation of Time Inc.’s SEC filings and work with the business offices worldwide to ensure accurate reporting for significant transactions, including new product/service offerings and acquisitions, as well as assess and implement new accounting pronouncements as part of the Corporate Controller’s organization. This role will work closely with all functions across the organization.
Be responsible for the preparation, internal and external review and timely filing of SEC documents including 10Q, 10K and earnings releases.
Assure SEC compliance, identify changes to disclosures and communicate requirements with divisional content providers.
Perform analytical review and challenge and resolve outstanding issues during the filing process.
Work cross functionally to ensure appropriate treatment and disclosure of business transactions, including but not limited to business combinations, revenue arrangements, internally developed software and restructuring.
Interpret and implement new financial reporting pronouncements.
Prepare benefit plan financial statements.
Participate in special projects or ad-hoc analysis.

Experienced: A Bachelor’s or higher degree is required. You have an active CPA license and Big Four public accounting experience. You're experienced in SEC rules and regulations (Reg S-X, Reg S-K) and have at least eight years of experience. You bring an excellent knowledge of and experience in applying US GAAP. You've also performed system implementations and posses consolidation experience.
