The Technical Project Manager will be a part of Time Inc.'s Advertising Technology Services group (ATS). ATS supports and enhances the tools used by Ad Sales and Ad Operations from order placement through to billing and reporting. We are seeking an agile project manager to handle multiple ad systems related projects spanning several business units and technology teams.
This role sits at our headquarters 225 Liberty in New York City.
Manage projects from kickoff to completion on schedule and within scope utilizing Agile/Scrum processes when appropriate.
Be responsible for communicating status and risk mitigation.
Assist with and escalate issues that cannot be resolved within the team.
Be able to speak to questions or requests from business and technology owners.
Drive prioritization of competing technology projects based on business need.
Coordinate project deliverables across multiple engineering teams.
Explain project or product tradeoffs to engineering and business stakeholders.
Drive team meetings and document and distribute action items.
Serve as a business analyst when needed and document functional requirement and workflows, prioritize features and drive project scope as needed.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, or another highly analytical field, or equivalent work experience.
At minimum 5 years of experience leading technical projects.
At minimum 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master and/or Agile advocate.
Run ad technology projects, have familiarity with ad technology systems or a passion to learn it.
Experience with Visio, PowerPoint, Gliffy, or similar diagramming tools for communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Experience working with Jira, Rally, or similar project management tools.
Experience working with globally distributed teams is a plus.
Excellent organization, presentation, verbal and written communication skills.
