This role presents an exciting opportunity for the right individual, who is a go-getter, passionate about digital with an interest in the Sports space. You would be working with one of Time Inc.’s most recognized and loved brands (SportsIllustrated.com), contributing to its rapid digital growth.
The Manager, Audience Development will work directly with the VP, Audience Strategy and Editorial Desk Lead to ensure audience and revenue growth, and provide strategic digital direction, insights, tools and leadership.
Drive audience growth through:
Content strategy (synthesizing data from core analytics team to deliver actionable insights to editorial teams at both brand and group level)
Partnership development (identifying partnership opportunities, negotiating terms, executing initial testing phase and evaluating short and long term success). Collaborating closely with Business Development on new partnership executions
Email acquisition (acquiring new email addresses to grow subscriber base and evaluating ROI and retention)
Paid traffic acquisition (using paid as a tool to grow users and evaluating ROI and retention) *this includes traffic/revenue goals and delivering on sales campaigns
Spearhead special projects to focus on new audience opportunities (I.e. identify photo contest tool as an audience driving feature, work with product to set requirements, work with edit on execution, create promotional plan & support with insights and ROI analysis)
Create marketing strategies to promote large editorial tent poles/product launches/brand launches
Generate creative solutions to drive more visitors through social media, newsletters, natural search and paid traffic acquisition
Provide insights, analysis and monitor performance for brand’s social/newsletter channels and content
Proven: You have at least five years of related media marketing, digital or agency experience with a BA or equivalent. Prior website audience development experience required.
Data driven and analytics-obsessed: You have a history of letting data guide your decisions and strategic priorities, and using it to manage site performance. (Must be Excel, Google Analytics, Salesforce proficient)
Collaborative: You’re a team player with strong project management and leadership skills, working with an eagle eye for detail and a contagious energy.
Passionate: You have a passion for sports news and have been dreaming about an opportunity to participate in a content business you love.
