Time Inc. Video seeks an enthusiastic Equipment Manager to join our New York operations team supporting Time Inc Video Operations with day-to-day management of video equipment rentals, schedules and performing regular maintenance on video equipment in our Lower Manhattan facility.
Keep a complete set of records including inventory of equipment, parts, equipment conditions, costs of repairs and preventive maintenance for all equipment.
Maintain a preventive maintenance program within budget on all remote equipment.
Maintain all Time Inc. Video remote equipment including liaising with internal departments and outside vendors for repair & replacement.
Spot check equipment for performance and diagnose issues, make emergency repairs to equipment when necessary, and service or supervise servicing of equipment.
Maintain all video equipment schedules and rentals.
Prioritize equipment repair and maintenance work.
Maintain relationships with vendors for rental, repair and replacement of equipment.
Stay up to date with video technology including cameras, lighting and audio.
Be able to climb a ladder and lift 50 pounds.
Experience. 3-6 years of progressive experience with at least 4 years of camera, lighting, or audio experience. Previous rental house experience preferred.
Communication Skills. You have excellent verbal and written skills, and will work with producers when they have equipment questions.
Enthusiasm. You have a desire to grow and learn new video technology.
