This leadership position in the Global Procurement group within the Finance organization will support the group's key strategic sourcing objectives primarily within the Technology commodities. The position will heavily interface with business owners to understand specifications and requirements for various categories.
Assist with the leadership and supervision of a team of three to five strategic sourcing professionals in the US and India
Support annual sourcing strategy development, and identify opportunities for savings
Quantify spend associated with commodities under responsibility
Understand Time Inc. specifications and requirements, and incorporate needs into sourcing events
Provide recommendations for change in requirements where appropriate
Draft and review RFPs, and serve as final quality control prior to distribution to market
Lead RFP response analysis
Develop negotiation strategy in conjunction with business owners
Lead supplier negotiations, and ensure execution of developed strategy
Quantify savings achieved
Travel overseas and domestically up to 10% of the time
Experienced: You have an undergraduate degree (preference for graduate degree) with 10+ years of experience in progressive roles which include at least seven plus years in strategic sourcing. You have demonstrated experience in the commodities under supervision, RFP structuring and supplier negotiations. You’ve worked at all facets of a medium to large scale business – i.e. sales, procurement, product development.

You bring strong hands-on project management skills demonstrated by experience in a consulting or business environment.
A Strong Communicator: You are able to facilitate meaningful conversations and have a demonstrated ability to clearly and persuasively communicate ideas, issues and recommendations. You’d be able to remotely supervise and manage teams based in Time Inc.’s offshore facility.
