The job:

Real Simple is looking for a Deputy Editor to help direct coverage of home, organizing, and other lifestyle areas, and help us elevate the work we do on all platforms. You are a highly collaborative individual who is a natural communicator in person and on the page. We are willing to shape this job to fit the special skills and experience you bring.


You will:

  • Contribute ideas for and edit features and packages in print and digital
  • Top edit home coverage and other subjects areas as needed, including beauty, style, food, and features, in print and digital
  • Recruit top-flight writers as contributors to Real Simple and RealSimple.com
  • Work in conjunction with the edit and art teams to make an excellent editorial product
  • Work with Time Inc.’s book division to help produce Real Simple books and bookazines
  • Help execute our many off-page brand extensions, which may include events, licensing projects, awards, and more creative ideas that you help brainstorm
