Working from Monday- Friday from 10PM-6AM the Electronic Print Operator operates high-speed printers to produce bills and renewals for multi-titled magazine customers, according to guidelines and standard operating procedures. This production-based position requires that daily production performance standards be achieved and maintained. The position requires physical exertion—lifting, carrying, prolonged standing, walking, pushing, bending and grasping, as swell as periodically maneuvering large rolls of paper.
Print, cut and fold jobs according to client specifications.
Perform operator-level maintenance/cleaning of printers, job set-up or adjustment when running and as associated stock handling.
Maintain print quality and alignment standards by self-checking, identifying exceptions and taking corrective action or requesting assistance from lead/supervisor.
Run two printers and prep equipment when applicable.
Complete computerized work and paperwork.
A high school diploma or equivalent.
A desire and drive to be successful.
The ability to move 50-lb. cartons and/or rolls of paper.
The ability to stand for the entire shift and to bend and stoop periodically.
The ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays.
These preferred attributes: a solid work history; six months of PC operations experience in a production situation; six months of experience in a high-volume, fast-paced, schedule-driven production environment; and mechanical aptitude.
