Produce photo shoots. Work with photography, art and editors to create photo briefs (including estimates) and execute photo shoots.
Conduct photo research. Find stock images to support editorial and storytelling needs for print and digital.
Assist with image editing. Enter metadata and keyword tags; select and process images when they come in.
Assist with contract management and budget management. Help manage photographer and stylist contracts, shoot estimates, and invoice processing.
Assist with production during issue close. Tasks include: ingesting and tagging hires images, entering photo credits, submitting text rights and restrictions.
Prepare images for digital use. Work with digital team to identify what images are needed.
Assist with administrative tasks when needed.
An undergraduate degree in photography, fine arts or related field or photography experience.
Experience working in a magazine photo department with knowledge of shoot production and creative image research is a huge plus.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and Adobe InCopy.
Excellent organizational, communication and multitasking skills.
The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
A proactive approach and an ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
General knowledge of Final Cut Pro, Photoshop and InDesign.
