Position Summary:

Meredith is seeking a data analyst in the internal audit team based in Bangalore, India. The opportunity is to be a part of well-established local internal audit team in Bangalore and works closely with US IA team and stakeholders. You will be reporting to the Manager, Internal Audit India. Meredith’s global Internal Audit function performs operational, financial and information technology audits and data analytic/automation projects for IA across all of Meredith’s locations and businesses including Des Moines and New York. The candidate must be available and eligible to travel internationally (5-10%).

Primary responsibilities:

  • Independently design data analytics test procedures to support internal audits, risk assessments and other special projects
  • Develop innovative, re-usable tools, scripts and solutions that can be leveraged by the process/ IT audit teams
  • Develops a deep understanding of the Internal Audit process to identify opportunities to streamline processes using analytic tools.
  • Works with large and complex data sets requiring strong technical expertise.
  • Identify systems, business, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Understand business processes & procedures, policies, risks and controls.
  • Assist with special projects
  • Interact with process owners and stakeholders independently

Work Experience: 2-4 years in data analysis environment

Candidate Qualification:

  • BCA/MCA/ Bachelor in Information Technology/Accounting
  • Excellent knowledge of the databases and systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated "team player" characteristics/
  • Experience working in any of these tools- Alteryx/ACL/Idea/SQL/Python/R/Tableau/Qlikview besides MS Excel (creating macros, modules, Pivot table, graphs, chart, etc)
  • Desired qualification- Previous experience to include over +1 year in Big 4 IA/Risk Management or Internal audit, experience in using audit management tools, database management
